John H. Dockweiler Papers, Water Resources Collection 1857-1916

John Dockweiler was a consulting engineer for water and power companies in Northern California near the San Francisco area. He represented Spring Valley Water Company, Cuyumaca Water Company, San Francisco's City Distribution System, and Marin County Water and Supply company. He worked on water projects during the early 20th century. Dockweiler's papers also include 19th century court cases such Spring Valley Water Company vs. City of San Francisco.

Biography of John Henry Dockweiler John Dockweiler was a civil engineer in San Francisco, California and was born in Lancaster, New York, February 20, 1864. In 1891 he became City Engineer of Los Angeles, serving four years, until the end of 1894.
